As winter is approaching we all are going to face the problems like cracked and dry feet. Lack of moisture in air and thick socks may prohibit dead skin from shedding, leading to flaky feet. So proper care and attention is required in order to make our feet soft n smooth.

Following are the problems:

Dry skin: The skin on your feet can sometimes become dry and cracked, basically on soles which gets more pressured. This can lead to scaling and itching.

Infections: Infection is caused due to poor hygiene.

Itchy feet: Dryness leads to itchy feet. Rubbing and scratching make it more problematic.

Here are some remedies for dry heels:

Ø  Moisturize your feet once in a day giving more attention to the areas around the heels and sides of feet.

Ø  Hot water damages your skin so avoid it instead use warm water for shower. Pat your feet dry and apply moisturizer. Nails and area between toes should not be moisturized to heavily since it may causes fungal infection.

Ø  Pumice your feet weekly in order to get rid of dead skin from the feet.

Ø  Add some baby oil to warm water and soak your feet, pat dry and pumice gently then moisturize.

Ø  If feet get severe cracks apply heavy lotion like Vaseline or coca butter and put on socks before going to bed.

Ø  If the cracks get bleeding use antibiotic creams and bandage to prevent the attack of bacteria.
